   • servants look upward
     • for commands
     • for generosity and mercy
   • masters look downward
     • with contempt or
     • with mercy
2. Prayer of the Psalmist
   • he looks up
     • to the Lord our God enthroned in heaven
     • for mercy
   • he is experiencing
     • from the proud – those who have enough
     • contempt and scorn
   • timing
     • patience – for his mercy – waiting
     • impatience – had enough – pleading
