Information Two Ways Ministries collects

Two Ways Ministries only collects personal and sensitive information necessary to carry out the organisation’s functions and activities. This information is collected by lawful and fair means. Information collected by Two Ways Ministries relates to:

  • Participants in our programs and parents and/or guardians, where applicable, before, during and after their immediate involvement with Two Ways Ministries.
  • Staff members, volunteers and participants in our programs.
  • People who donate to Two Ways Ministries and
  • Other people who come into contact with Two Ways Ministries.

Two Ways Ministries generally collects the following kinds of personal information:

  • Postal and email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Emergency contact person’s details
  • Financial details (bank and credit card numbers) and donor history
  • Photographic images, video clips and sound recordings.

Comments

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Where it is impractical to seek the individual’s consent before that particular use, marketing material may still be sent where individuals may reasonably expect to receive such material (e.g. after an individual has used one of Two Ways Ministries services).

All Two Ways Ministries’ mailings feature an ‘opt-out’ clause. If individuals choose to ‘opt-out’ Two Ways Ministries will not contact them again for that particular purpose. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

Two Ways Ministries does not store credit card details or information needed to verify online transactions. These are collected and processed by a secure payment gateway called Braintree (a PayPal service). Their privacy statement can be viewed here. All pages on Two Ways Ministries websites related to financial transactions are protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption.

Two Ways Ministries employs a marketing automation platform to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to its websites. This information includes using “cookies” which are stored on an individual user’s internet browser. Individuals may choose to opt out of having cookies stored on their browser by setting “No Tracking” options in their Internet browser. Two Ways Ministries respects “No Tracking” options if selected.

Two Ways Ministries employs a cloud-based database system to catalogue and store personal details. This information is stored securely with password protection and network security. Only staff who require access to this information to complete their duties have passwords.

Two Ways Ministries does not share personal or sensitive information with the exception of conference sites, in the duty of care for the health of conference attenders.

Disclosure of personal information

Two Ways Ministries does not disclose our participants, clients and supporters’ personal information. Two Ways Ministries only discloses Personal and Sensitive Information:

  • To staff and volunteers to facilitate the smooth running of conferences (i.e. directors, leaders and first aid staff)
  • To medical practitioners, in the case of a client requiring medical attention
  • To organisations, individuals and/or volunteers that assist in Two Ways Ministries’ programs and fundraising activities, including database and email services
  • When required by law or for governmental reporting
  • To anyone the individual themselves authorises Two Ways Ministries to disclose information to.

Two Ways Ministries may pass on names and basic contact details of individuals (phone number and email address) to university chaplains if the individual gives consent to the disclosure. This consent will only be valid consent if the individual is adequately informed before giving consent, gives consent voluntarily and specifically, if the consent is current, and if the individual has the capacity to understand and communicate their consent. Two Ways Ministries assumes that camps or events which include high school leavers, who may be under 18 years, would be individuals who would be able to give consent to this disclosure.
