Past Student Ministers
Peter & Jodie
I (Peter) had the privilege of training with Phillip in 2017- 2018. I currently serve as the assistant minister of All Saints’ Belfast and UniChurch Belfast, Northern Ireland. Alongside weekly preaching and one-to-one Bible studies, I teach weekly at the “Ministry Training Academy”, a ministry of the West Trust that equips Christians in their handling of God’s Word.
On top of looking after our two sons, Jodie meets regularly with young women from our two congregations. Each year we grow increasingly grateful for everything we learned from Phillip and Two Ways Ministries.
Please pray for our congregations in Belfast, as we seek to evangelise the lost, equip the saints, and raise up a new generation of gospel workers.
Dan & Shannon
Hi, I’m Dan, I’m married to Shannon and God has blessed us with 5 (soon to be 6) wonderful kids, Zeke, Jed, Abi, Mori, Kai + 1. I served with Two Ways Ministries in 2018-19 before joining Engadine Heathcote Anglican Church where I continue to serve as the Youth and Children’s minister. I spend most of my week training and encouraging young and old in sharing the glorious gospel of Jesus with young people.
Please thank God for the glory and power of the gospel and ask Him to continue working powerfully through His saints at Engadine and Heathcote in sharing the gospel and for our kids to enjoy the blessing of being raised with the truth of the gospel and to keep trusting in Jesus whatever God has in store for them.
Susan
Hi, I’m Susan and I was a student minister with Two Ways Ministries in 2018. After that, I took on a part-time role as Legal Counsel at Sydney Anglican Services, which supports the Diocese of Sydney. I have also returned to my home church, St Barnabas Fairfield with Bossley Park as the part-time Assistant Minister (Women’s & Children’s Ministry). The workload of two part-time roles is a constant challenge, but it is a great privilege God has given me to serve in these two important ministries.
Please pray for the refugees who land in our part of the South-West, that God might be preparing them for the joy of knowing Christ. Please also pray that God might use our local churches to grow his kingdom, both within our communities and as we send people out.
Paul & Bron
Hi I’m Paul (or Coops). I was a student minister with TWM in 2018-19. After college, I was the associate pastor at Trinity Church Modbury in Adelaide before Bron and I led a church plant out at the beginning of 2022 to begin Trinity Church Campbelltown, also in Adelaide. We had three groups join us, two from other Trinity churches and one from another church looking to continue their work for the gospel. God has been doing amazing things these last few years and its been a real privilege to be part of it.
Through all of this, we look back on our time with TWM and see just how valuable it was – we learned what pastoral ministry is at TWM. What we were shown from the Bible, the conversations, the questions that were answered and the things modelled to us prepared us for the gospel ministry we are now doing.
Please pray for our family as we continue to grow in ministry together, for resilience and patience and most all, for us to continue to grow in our love and knowledge of Jesus as we serve him.
Ben & Katrina
I’m Ben and I served with Two Ways Ministries in 2020-2021. I’m currently serving the saints at Northmead Anglican Church as their 6pm Night Church and Membership pastor. Alongside my wife Kat, and children Harry and Eliza, it’s a privilege to partner with them in the work of ministry. Please pray that God would call many in our area to faith and repentance.
Angus & Olivia
I was a student minister with Two Ways from 2021 to 2022 and cherished my time with Phillip and the team. The Martins are now serving the Lord in Tamworth, I’m an assistant minister at St Peter’s Anglican Church as well as working for City Bible Forum to reach the workers of Tamworth with the gospel.
Please pray for perseverance as we begin a new ministry for Tamworth (City Bible Forum) and pray that our children will grow in their love for Jesus.
Ed & Amelia
Hi, I’m Ed! I’m married to Amelia and since serving with Two Ways in 2021-2022, we had little Maeve! She is now a South-West native as we serve at St Luke’s Liverpool, where I am the Assistant Minister, looking after Youth and whatever else needs doing.
Give thanks to God for the work He is doing in the South West, and ask God that He would raise workers from the South West to reap a harvest in all the world.
Edmund & Maggie
Hi, I’m Ed! I was a student minister with Two Ways Ministries in 2021-2022. I am now currently an AFES staff worker at RMIT University, Melbourne.
At RMIT Christian Union, I focus on ministering students in the STEM Faculty and FOCUS (International) Faculty through weekly gatherings, bible studies and one-to-one meetings. I also teach Learn the Gospel (Two Ways to Live) at training groups and plan to start up an Evangelism team.
Please pray for people in positions of authority to govern Melbourne fearfully under God, for the Lord of Harvest raise up more gospel workers in Melbourne (Matt 9:38), and for Christians in Melbourne to have gospel conversations full of grace and seasoned with salt (Col 4:6).
Olivea & Martin
I am Olivea and am married to Martin. I loved learning and serving with TWM in 2022. Martin and I are both currently studying part-time at Christ College as he completes his candidature for ordination with the Presbyterian Church. Serving at Chatswood Presbyterian, my primary ministry involves mentoring and meeting one-to-one with young adult women.
Please pray that we will continue to grow in our ability to love God’s people and serve God’s kingdom faithfully.
Ling & Luke
Hi, I’m Ling married to Luke, who is an assistant minister at St Thomas’ North Sydney. I was a with TWM in 2020. 2021 was a big year, settling into newly married life and ministry. I’m so thankful for opportunities to teach the Word in Bible study and SRE at two high schools.
Please pray for our marriage, for us to keep establishing our identity in Christ and to serve God and others. Pray also for God’s help in leading and discipling women, for perseverance in teaching SRE and in all things, for me to grow in dependence on God whose reign is over all.
